Before Macklemore was the Macklemore we know and love today, Blue Danube Productions put on the largest concert of his career – the kickoff to The Heist Tour with Ryan Lewis at the WaMu Theater for 6,800 fans. The design parameters were to create a “big, warm, intimate, thrift-shop” feel. The tour manager provided a basic cue sheet that Blue Danube Productions elaborated on; adding scenic pieces such as the custom-fabricated stair set, live-programmed lighting cues, and pyrotechnics. The show was packaged for the tour manager to use at each tour stop. The concert went so well, Ryan Lewis invited our lead designer to accompany them on tour. Blue Danube Productions provided technical and logistic support throughout the entirety of the tour.
