The Event
The Seattle Soccer Celebration, Powered by Lenovo, was a month-long FIFA World Cup 2026 activation on Pier 62, built around the world's first floating stage on Elliott Bay. Presented in partnership with the Seattle Sounders, Seattle Reign FC, the RAVE Foundation, and Friends of the Waterfront, the celebration gave Seattle its own gathering place for the tournament, hosting daily watch parties along with concerts, private events, and community programming throughout the month-long run.

How Blue Danube Productions Delivered
Blue Danube Productions served as the official A/V and production partner for the celebration, responsible for the full audio, video, and power infrastructure on Pier 62 and the Barge. The buildout included two separate watch party installations, each built with a massive 20’x30’ LED screen, d&b Audiotechnik KSL series line array and subs, with a full control package consisting of video switchers, playback machines, streaming equipment and audio consoles, ensuring every second of each World Cup match was streamed precisely with no delay or interruption for the audience.

Getting there started with load-in at the Everett Shipyards, where the barge was staged before making its way to Pier 62. Over four days, our crew craned every piece of gear across the shipyard from trucks to the barge, a process that took the same precision as the show itself before a single World Cup match ever took place.

Once on site at Pier 62 on Seattle’s waterfront, we kept a dedicated technical crew on the stage every day of the run, monitoring stream, video, and audio for the watch parties alongside a dedicated electrician and production manager to keep the entire operation running smoothly. Beyond the daily World Cup programming, the barge also hosted 10 separate events, including private parties, concerts, and non-profit galas, each requiring its own technical turnaround without disrupting the celebration around it. When the tournament wrapped up, our team reversed the entire process for load-out after the barge, quite literally, sailed off into the Seattle sunset.

The Seattle Soccer Celebration stands as the most significant project in Blue Danube Productions' history, a month of live, high-visibility production executed on open water without a single day of downtime. From a complex load-in at the shipyards to daily match coverage to a full slate of events layered on top, our team delivered the same precision on a floating stage that we bring to any production on solid ground. For a month, Seattle had its own place at the center of the soccer world, and Blue Danube Productions was grateful and proud to be part of such a historic moment for the city of Seattle.
