RAVE Foundation 2026 Gala

The Event
Every year, RAVE Foundation brings together Sounders and Reign supporters, players, and Seattle's business community for a night built around one goal: funding free places for kids across Washington to play soccer. Last year's gala raised over $1.2 million and helped fund real, specific projects, including Reign FC's first mini-pitch in Western Washington at Star Lake Elementary School and two new mini-pitches planned for Lummi Nation School, part of RAVE's push to build 52 free fields by the time the World Cup arrives.

This year, RAVE brought that same tradition to the water, hosting the gala aboard the Seattle Soccer Celebration barge on Elliott Bay during the FIFA World Cup. It was a shift from the ballroom setting of years past to a floating venue with its own set of operational challenges: no loading dock, no standard power infrastructure, and no chance for do-overs once gear was on board.

How Blue Danube Productions Delivered
Blue Danube planned the load-in and setup around the barge's access points and layout, working through those maritime constraints including the need to time equipment load-in around tidal patterns to avoid the gangways being too steep to wheel up equipment cases. On the night itself, we handled full A/V production, production management, videography, and roaming camera coverage of the event, then carried that footage through post-production for RAVE's own use afterward.

Outcomes
Guests left with an experience no ballroom could have given them: a gala on the Puget Sound, with the Seattle skyline and Elliott Bay as the backdrop. The production Blue Danube built around that setting, from lighting the barge to the roaming camera coverage capturing the night, turned a fundraiser into something guests will remember as part of Seattle's World Cup story for years to come. They were part of a moment in the city's history, and Blue Danube's work behind the scenes made sure the setting matched the signficance of the moment.
